The majestic beauties of the sea are once again seen in Turku, when the tall ships sail into the city in July. An international atmosphere, high class concerts and a rich maritime programme are eagerly anticipated.

The fleet for the Tall Ships Races split the city as they line up side by side along both banks of the River Aura. The vibrant atmosphere of the international event will captivate visitors over the fourday period. The quayside will also be full of music and other programme activities. Commissioned as part of Finland 100 it is a highlight of the centenary celebrations.

Turku has hosted the Tall Ships Races four times already, and time and again the event has drawn hundreds of thousands of satisfied visitors from around the country and the world. The Tall Ships Races is the summer’s largest public event.
